Evan Barry (born May 10, 1990 in San Diego ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

Barry initially played on the California beaches. As a teenager he was active in beach volleyball . He was runner-up in 2007 and the 2008 national U18 championship winner. In 2010 he finished fifth with Tony Ciarelli at the U21 Beach Volleyball World Championship in Alanya . From 2005 to 2008 he played volleyball at Torrey Pines High School. In 2009 he started his studies at Stanford University and was active on the university team. In his senior year at Stanford, he finished third in the national championship with the team in 2012. The setter then moved to Sweden and led Örkelljunga VK as captain to fourth place in the league. In 2013/14 he played for the German Bundesliga club evivo Düren . In 2014 he returned to the USA to continue his studies. Since 2017 he has been playing for Academy United from San Francisco in the new American NVA professional league.
