The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Uzbekistan (ELKU) is an independent regional church in the network of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Central Asia . Your official seat is Tashkent .

The ELKU comprises seven parishes in Uzbekistan , which are looked after by two pastors and ten preachers. The largest municipalities are:

Church office

The ecclesiastical center of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Uzbekistan is located in Tashkent 700000, ul. Akademika Sadyka Asimowa 37. There is also the official seat of the bishop and the office of the synod.

Synod

The regional synod is the highest constitutional and decision-making body of the ELKU. The current president is Gilda Raspopowa . All parishes send their delegates to the synod.

The spiritual direction of the ELKU is incumbent on the bishop , who is also a member of the Bishops' Council of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Central Asia . Kornelius Wiebe held the office of bishop until 2015 .

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Uzbekistan maintains partnership relations with the Gustav Adolf Work of the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau in Darmstadt.
