Evangelical Church of the German Language in Greece
The Evangelical Church of the German Language in Greece was an association registered under Greek law in which Evangelical Christians in the German language in Greece came together. Since 2014 the church has been a legal person registered under Greek law and thus enjoys the same recognition as the Greek Orthodox Church .
It is an amalgamation of various legally and economically independent institutions:
- Athens Municipality , founded in 1837
- Thessaloniki Municipality , founded in 1895
- Municipality of Rhodes , founded in 1983
- Municipality of Crete , founded in 2004
The Association of the Evangelical Church of the German Language in Greece was led by a board.
