Evelize Joaquina Joaquim da Cruz Fresta is an Angolan politician from the Movimento Popular de Libertação de Angola (MPLA).

Life

Evelize Joaquina Joaquim da Cruz Fresta completed a degree in occupational medicine , which she graduated with a diploma. She then worked as a doctor and in 1996 moved to the Ministry of Health, where she was National Director for Human Resources until 2007. From 2007 to 2010 she was Vice Minister of Health for Hospitals and then Vice Minister of Health for Public Health between 2010 and 2012, before she was last from 2013 to 2017 as Deputy Coordinator for the National Education Plan (Plano Nacional de Formação de Quadros ) served in the cabinet of President José Eduardo dos Santos .

On October 27, 2017, Evelize Fresta became a member of the National Assembly (Assembleia Nacional) to replace Ana Afonso Dias Lourenço on the list of the Movimento Popular de Libertação de Angola (MPLA ) . She is a member of the 6th parliamentary commission (6ª Comissão: Saúde, Educação, Ensino Superior, Ciências e Tecnologia) , which is responsible for health, education, higher education, science and technology.
