Explosive weapon

Explosive weapons are weapons that develop their combat effect (usually pressure waves , splinters and heat ) through an explosion . They are used with the aim of persons to wound or kill and objects to damage or destroy. In most cases, however, it is less a weapon than ammunition .

They are usually thrown, thrown or shot at the target location or hidden beforehand at the target location and detonated by a fuse or time ignition , an ignition mechanism (e.g. tripwire), impact ignition or remote ignition .
