concept

According to the company, the exhibition areas at Expo Real represent the "entire value chain of the real estate industry" and include project development , advice, financing and implementation, operation and investment. The branch breakdown is recorded in the nomenclature.

The conference program is thematically oriented towards politics and economy with a focus on the real estate industry. The organizers see Expo Real as a cross-border networking platform to initiate business, present and initiate projects and make new contacts.

Visitors and exhibitors

The majority of the participants in Expo Real come from Europe. This focus is reflected in the so-called country pavilions, which bundle exhibitors with the same geographical background on a common exhibition area. At Expo Real 2016 there were country specials on Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Great Britain, Switzerland and Austria.

There will also be thematic joint stands for superordinate asset classes such as the “LogRealCampus” for logistics properties and the “World of Hospitality” for hotel properties. In 2016, the “Grand Plaza” opened a networking area for companies in the retail and retail real estate sector. This is where "exhibitors from the food, drugstore, textile and system catering sectors" meet.

In 2017 and 2018 EXPO REAL hosted the Real Estate Innovation Network (REIN), which sees itself as the “leading European platform for the exchange between technology start-ups, established companies, industry experts and investors against the background of the ongoing digital transformation of the real estate industry” . The aim is to provide an overview of new technology trends for all areas in the real estate industry's value chain. A total of 75 PropTech companies and start-ups were represented at REIN 2018.

The sub-topic “Intelligent Urbanization” deals with smart cities and presents selected examples of future-oriented urban planning. Participants can find out more about this in their own exhibition space as well as in lectures and panel discussions of the accompanying conference program.

In 2019, with the new "Nova³" hall, an innovation platform was created on which, among other things, start-ups and grown-ups from the PropTech industry and innovation-oriented property companies presented themselves.

Conference program

In 2019, 1,185 speakers attended the conference program on current topics and trends in the industry. The boom in the real estate industry and low interest rates, which are fueling this development, were discussed, as were the rising real estate prices and the increased willingness to invest, as well as the lower return expectations in the industry. Both the conference program and the exhibitor events included the fact that there is a high need for affordable living space. In addition, according to the organizers, the conference program should serve to analyze the market potential of other countries. EXPO REAL also organizes the “CareerDay” every year on the third day of the fair, where, according to the company, newcomers to the profession and industry can come into contact with company representatives and attend their own conference program.
