Extrusom

Extrusome is a term for various cell organelles , predominantly in protists . Extrusomes have an intravacuolar and ejectable content. This is mostly formed by the dictyosomes .

The following organelles are counted as extrusomes:

Discobolocyst
Ejectisome in cryptophytes
Kinetocyst
Mucocyst , see Ichthyophthirius multifiliis
Nematocyst, also called cnidocyst, in the nettle cells
Pigmentocyst
Polar capsule
Taeniobolocyst
Toxic cyst
Trichocyst
