Eye on Earth
Eye on Earth is an online information portal of the European Environment Agency .
Since 2008, data on water quality have been presented on an interactive page. In November 2009 it was expanded to include air quality data . The system differs from other scientific representations in that citizens can bring in their own observations to compare the measured and calculated data with the perceived values. This answers the frequent criticism that scientific information only represents a mean or average value and does not take into account individual sensitivities, for example of certain population or age groups.
