Ferryman get over (sculpture group)

The sculpture group Fährmann hol 'über by the sculptor Günther Zeuner is located in the cathedral garden of Speyer . It was created in 1987.

The sculpture consists of two parts:

  • the ferryman (1)
  • the emperors (2)

Next to the group of sculptures is a plaque that reads : Old Speyer legend: “The ferryman's dream” coming from the cathedral, the emperors cross the Rhine to help the empire in great need. They shout: “Ferryman overtake!” FOUNDED 1987 SPEYER EV ZEUNER TRAFFIC ASSOCIATION
