Fénix Directo is a successor company of the Spanish insurance company La Unión y el Fénix .
history
La Unión y El Fénix was founded in 1864. In 1991 their subsidiary Fenix Autos was founded . Due to the merger of the two insurance companies AGF Assurances and La Union y El Fenix , the name Fenix Autos was changed to Fenix Directo in 1995 . In 1999 the company was taken over by the German insurance group Allianz , one of the largest insurance companies in the world.
