Prize for dance from the City of Munich

The State Capital of Munich's Dance Promotion Prize is awarded biennially to an artistically outstanding achievement or an unusual artistic position. With this award, choreographers and dancers are to receive support for the development of further projects, whereby support is to be given above all in the experimental, research area of ​​dance. Individuals or ensembles in all styles of dance can receive the sponsorship award.

Artists and ensembles who live in the Munich region or whose work is closely linked to Munich’s cultural life are eligible for the 6000 Euro award. The right of proposal has a commission appointed by the Munich city council made up of expert jurors and members of the city council.
