Promotional capital

Funding from the federal government, states, the EU and the Chamber of Commerce , which can be used under certain conditions, can be an important start-up aid when setting up a company or taking over a company . Not all funding consists of direct cash grants . There are different types of business grants:

• one-time grants for investments
• beneficiary loans
• Assumption of liability and guarantees
• Interest subsidies
• state equity capital or mezzanine capital ( mezzanine capital )
• Discounts on taxes and fees
• Advisory grants

Funding only makes a contribution to supporting a start-up; it can never finance the entire capital requirement.
