The FC Neftchi Kochkor-Ata is a Kyrgyz football club from Kochkor-Ata , which is competing in the top national league, the top league , in the current 2019 season .
Club history
The association was founded in 1952 in the city of Kochkor-Ata in the west of the then Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic , now the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. Before the independence of Kyrgyzstan, the club could not achieve any major success.
In the newly founded Kyrgyz top league, which was established as the top division of the independent state of Kyrgyzstan in the 1992 season, FC Neftchi was not a founding member, but rose to the top league in the 1994 season. In the first season after promotion, the club narrowly escaped relegation and was able to establish itself in the top league in the following seasons. In the 1998 season, however, the club had to relegate as bottom of the table. In the following years, FC Neftchi commuted between the leagues, was first class in 2003, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2018. In the current 2019 season, the club will also compete in the highest Kyrgyz league. The greatest success in the club's history came in 2010 when the club won the championship in the top league as a climber, the only title in the club's history so far.
