The locomotives 1-5 of 1906 opened Ferrovia Brembana were a group of AC -Elektrolokomotiven that were built for transport of passenger and freight trains.
They went into operation in 1906 and were the only FVB locomotives at the time the line was opened. After the commissioning of more powerful locomotives of the 11-14 series , the 1-5 were only used for passenger trains.
The locomotives were built by the Breda factory in Milan . The electrical section was from Westinghouse Electric . Locomotive 2 had more powerful engines from the start, which enabled better performance. After the Second World War, locomotives 4 and 5 were also reinforced.
Originally painted black, the machines were repainted in Isabel color in the 1950s . When the line was closed in 1966, they were retired and scrapped.
