The FEEI - Fachverband der Elektro- und Elektronikindustrie represents the interests of the Austrian electrical and electronics industry . It is a public corporation within the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ).

Data

The association is represented by functionaries who are elected by the members every five years. The FEEI is managed by a managing director. More than 65% of the financing of the advocacy is through the sale of voluntary consulting and services and 35% from the mandatory contributions of its member companies, the basic levy. In 2018, the member companies generated a production value of € 18.3 billion and employed around 67,000 people.

tasks

The primary goal is to help shape the economic and legal framework, to strengthen the position of its member companies and to secure Austria as a business location. The association has been conducting independent collective bargaining negotiations for the electrical and electronics industry since 2001 . Its main tasks are the information of its members as well as measures in public relations and lobbying. In addition to legal advice such as B. the assessment of laws and regulations, the FEEI has specialized in consulting and project management in eight core areas: the world of work, energy, research and development , health, information and telecommunications technologies (ICT), transport infrastructure, environment and education.

partner

The association acts as an umbrella for 28 partner organizations that have come together to form a network. These are dedicated to specific issues in the electrical and electronics industry and, if necessary, work on the core issues together with the FEEI. The partners are u. a. the Fachhochschule Technikum Wien , the FMK - Forum Mobilkommunikation , and the Technikum Wien GmbH.

Divisions

The association supports companies from 12 branches of the electrical and electronics industry, such as B. components, energy technology (including meters, measuring and testing devices), industrial plant construction, installation technology, control technology and building automation, batteries and accumulators, household and heating devices (including small electrical appliances), entertainment electronics, lighting, communication and information technology, medical and Traffic engineering.
