The company was founded in 1980. In 2007, Fairmount Marine was acquired by Paris- based Louis Dreyfus Armateurs .

fleet

Fairmount Marine operates six deep-sea tugs and one semi-submersible ship . Five of the ocean tugs that make up the Fairmount class are used for ocean towing and as anchor pulling and salvage tugs . They have a bollard pull of 205 tons. The sixth tug is used as an offshore supplier .
