The Falconbrook (also spelled Falcon Brook ) is a watercourse in Greater London. One of its source rivers originates at Streatham Hill in the London Borough of Lambeth and was known as Hydeburn , the other source river known as Woodbourne or Streatbourne , originates at Tooting Bec Common in the London Borough of Wandsworth . Both streams join at Wandsworth Common . After the lords of Battersea Manor den St Johns, whose coat of arms shows a falcon (English Falcon), the watercourse was called Falconbrook.

The Falcon Brook flows into the Thames at Battersea . The lower course was known as Battersea Creek and served as the dock for a candle factory on York Road. The upper reaches of the Falconbrook was moved below the surface in the 1860s. The lower reaches of Battersea Creek was closed in the late 20th century. The Falconbrook Pumping Station on York Road carries the water into the Thames. In 2007 there was a flooding of the Falcon Road near the Clapham Junction station for which the Falconbrook was responsible.
