Wrong indigo

False indigo is an ambiguous German name for several different plant genera or species. The term is sometimes used for:

Representatives of the genus Baptisia from the legume family, such as:
- Indigolupine ( Baptisia australis )
- Baptisia tinctoria

Representatives of the genus Amorpha from the legume family, such as:
- Amorpha canescens
- Amorpha fruticosa

The name is also occasionally used for:

Woad ( Isatis tinctoria ) from the cruciferous family
