Fold former
Falzformer are machines to a smooth sheet metal a seam attach. They are mainly used to produce seam connections in the production of air ducts. Pairs of rollers rotate in the machine. They transport the sheet metal and shape it according to its contour. Seven or nine forming stations are common. Which machine is used depends on the complexity of the profile, the sheet thickness to be formed and the quality requirements for the seam.
Usually two sets of rollers can be set up on the machines at the same time. This makes it possible to make the mating fold types without retooling the machine about Pittsburgh seam and standing seam or Snaplock and Nockenstehfalz .
