The color control strip is used in printing technology to check that the minimum color layer thickness is achieved at all points on the printed product despite the color drop .

The color control strip is not added when setting, but only in the print shop.

You can often find a color control strip on milk cartons when you open the two lower corners. It can also be found on the color supplement of daily newspapers.
