Farmácia Barreto

The Farmácia Barreto is a pharmacy in the municipality of Misericórdia in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon .

history

The pharmacy was opened in 1876 by an Italian pharmacist on Rua do Loreto . He gave her the name Farmácia Francesa . It was not given its current name until later. Since 1987 it has been led by José Pedro Silva.

The original dark cherry wood furnishings have largely been preserved. The interior is complemented by two bronze figures in the romantic style that serve as candlesticks, glass work and the stucco ceiling .

It is registered in the Inventário Municipal de Património .
