Fascist stencil images

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fascist stencils were mainly used during the fascist dictatorship under Benito Mussolini 1925–1943 in Italy and then used under him in the Republic of Salo . These stencils were attached to the outside walls of the houses on the orders of the PNF and served purely for propaganda purposes. The stencils were mainly attached to houses at the entrance to the town and to PNF buildings. Well-known Mussolini portraits and quotations served as templates . But DVX and Duce lettering were also attached to the outer walls of the houses. The installation turned the houses into billboards for Mussolini and Italian fascism . Some of the stencils have been preserved to this day and can be seen mainly in northern Italy.
