Internal thoracic fascia

The fascia internal thoracic would in this image between the internal intercostal muscles ( Internal intercostal muscle ) and the fascia endothoracica ( endothoracic fascia lie) and be secured directly to the internal intercostal muscles.

The internal thoracic fascia is the fascia that delimits the internal intercostal muscle inward, i.e. dorsally, towards the pleura . It is a "real muscle fascia", i. That is, it covers only the internal intercostal muscle and is to be delimited from the endothoracic fascia , which lies between the internal thoracic fascia and the pleura.
