Federación de Instituciones de Educación Particular

The Federación de Instituciones de Educación Particular (FIDE) is an association of private educational institutions in Chile .

It was founded in 1948 and has its own legal personality. The association has more than 600 members and is divided into 27 regional groups from Arica to Magallanes . Membership of the affiliated educational institutions is on a voluntary basis. Both paid private schools and subsidized institutions, such as those of the Catholic Church, but also secular and other denominations, are affiliated. According to the statutes, they are represented in FIDE by the respective rector or director. The current chairman of FIDE is Jesús Triguero.
