Fine tuner

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fine tuners are additional tuning mechanisms on musical instruments. On string instruments of the violin family ( violin , viola , cello ) they are attached to the tailpiece . They consist of a screw with which the string can be tuned very precisely within a limited pitch range via a lever reduction.

Fine tuners on electric guitars are especially with Floyd Rose - tremolo system used, they are but among other things, on BB King's Lucille and on the advertised BB King Gibson Little Lucille find. With the latter, you can quickly retune the individual strings while playing with your right hand (while you continue to play with your left hand).

In addition, individual percussion instruments also have fine tuners.
