Feitoria Inglesa
The Feitoria Inglesa is the former British trading post building in the center of the Portuguese city of Porto .
It was built between 1785 and 1790 as a second project by the then consul John Whitehead . Its design is influenced by the neo-Palladian style of England.
On the side of the facade facing Rua do Infante D. Henrique, seven round arches in front of the main entrance form a gallery on the ground floor. Inside, a remarkable skylight spans the stairwell. The ballroom and the large kitchen are also worth seeing.
