Feldkircher Wochenblatt

The Feldkircher Wochenblatt was an “apolitical” weekly that appeared from 1809 to 1857. In 1817 the main title was “Announcements of the KK Prov. District Court Feldkirch and the surrounding kk prov. District Courts and kk Ämter ”, afterwards it was again entitled“ Feldkircher Wochenblatt ”.

The frequency of publication was weekly and the format was 8 °. The Feldkircher Wochenblatt was published and published in the first years (1809 to 1820) by the “ Graffische Buchdruckerey ” under Johann Caspar Graff . From 1821 to 1840 the editing and publishing was done by Joseph Graff and after his death his widow Anna Maria Graff took over these tasks.

The weekly published edicts and announcements and contained news from home and abroad as well as a directory of current market prices.

The successor to the "Feldkircher Wochenblatt" was from 1858 to 1862 the "Anzeiger für Feldkirch und Umgebung", which from 1863 to 1938 was called Feldkircher Anzeiger . Between 1938 and 1940 the title was "Vorarlberger Oberland" and between 1941 and 1944 the weekly was not published.
