Felipe Canavessi , also known as Felipe Canavesi , was a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

Canavessi, known as "Ramaseca", joined the predecessor club of Club Atlético Peñarol , the Central Uruguay Railway Cricket Club (CURCC) , in 1907 . For the CURCC he played until 1913. Then he was still active in 1914 for Peñarol. In the first season he was not part of the team that won the Uruguayan championship in the Primera División that year undefeated . In the following years he was part of the regular formation and in 1909 was the team's most successful shooter with 13 goals tied with Carlos Scarone . In 1911 this honor was granted to him alone with 19 goals scored. He acted with the Aurinegros up to and including 1912 in the role of the right half-striker (Entrela derecho). From 1910 to 1912 he shared the working hours in his position with Luis Quaglia . In the last two years he was the left half-forward and competed there in 1913 with Carlos Scarone and in 1914 with Eduardo Castilla for a place in the first eleven. With the CURCC he won the Uruguayan championship in 1907 and 1911. In addition, the Montevideans secured the Copa de Honor Cousenier in 1909 and 1911 .

National team

Canavessi was a member of the Uruguayan senior team . From his debut on September 19, 1909 as part of the Copa Newton to his last appearance on October 29, 1911 at the Copa Premio Honor Uruguayo , he completed six international matches, according to the RSSSF . He scored two international goals. In all national team encounters with his participation, Argentina was the opponent. He was also used in two unofficial international matches against Argentina on April 30, 1911 and February 25, 1912. He was responsible for both goals in Uruguay's 2-4 defeat as a goal scorer in the first-mentioned game.
