The piglet nest is used in piglet production to protect the piglets.

In the combined piglet and sow pen, a special lying area is usually set up for piglets. These lying areas are usually heated and separated from the sow area . The piglets find the necessary temperature here (approx. 30 ° C) and cannot be accidentally crushed by the sow in this area.
