Feuerbach (Klagenfurt am Wörthersee)
The Feuerbach was created during the construction of the city fortifications of Klagenfurt in the 16th century. It was fed by the Glan and used as a source of drinking water and as a source of water for fighting fires.
From the 19th century it was used as a sewer system and after the Second World War it was diverted into pipes and connected to the current sewer system. Today only a small part of the original canal can be seen near the Südpark shopping center in the St. Ruprecht district .
