Feurich-Keks is a baked goods manufacturer from Bavaria, now part of the Bahlsen Group.

history

The company was founded in 1880 by the Austrian baker and confectioner Hugo Feurich, who settled in Solln near Munich. The company moved to Schwabing and was converted into an AG on April 28, 1923.

The manufacturer was already active across Germany at that time. The factory building was located in Munich on Hofmann-Strasse and was later sold to Siemens. The product range included biscuits, waffles, gingerbread and biscuits. These products were delivered to retailers in tin cans or in containers made of split or sawn and braided softwood measuring approx. 80 cm × 60 cm × 100 cm.

The manufacturer was also based in Munich in the 1930s and 1940s. He held several packaging and manufacturing patents. The last managing director of the stand-alone company was co-owner Hans Karl Löb of Feurich-Keks KG, Munich.

In 1960, the owner of Melitta -Werke, Minden, Horst Bentz, took over the confectionery company Feurich Keksfabrik Munich. The production company continued to exist, but produced together with other acquired companies exclusively for the newly founded company Feurich-Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH, Munich location, from October 1960 in Stuttgart-Obertürkheim. As the expected success did not materialize, Bentz sold the Feurich production plant to the Bahlsen company in 1963.

Today products are sold under this name at ALDI-Nord and distributed by the Intersnack sales subsidiary .
