Filipe Alarcão

Filipe Alarcão (* 1963 in Lisbon , Portugal ) is a Portuguese product designer.

His designs range from china and ordinary dinnerware designed for Vista Alegre to contemporary furniture designs for Temahome .

He received his degree in interior design from the University of Lisbon ( Faculty of Fine Arts ) and his master's degree in industrial design from the Domus Academy in Milan.

From 1995 to 1997 he worked with Michele De Lucchi in Milan as a consultant for Olivetti , where he developed projects for computers.

He lives and works in his own studio in Lisbon. There he develops project design for furniture, products for urban facilities, lighting, ceramics and glass in collaboration with several Portuguese and foreign companies such as Vista Alegre-Atlantis, Asplund, Temahome , Schréder, Senda, Cerâmicas São Bernardo, Larus and Moda Lisboa.

Alarcão has also designed exhibition spaces, such as the Moda Lisboa Design Shop, the Atlantis Gallery and the “Design from Portugal” exhibition in Frankfurt. His work is exhibited in the Belém Cultural Center .
