Film funding

The Kulturelle Filmförderung of the Filmbüros Bremen has one or two submission deadlines for applications in the areas of script, production preparation, production and sales.

In the case of micro-project funding, applications can be made for up to 1,000 euros for the production or distribution of Bremen films.

As a partner of nordmedia Mediengesellschaft Niedersachsen / Bremen, Filmbüro Bremen plays an active role in the development of the regional media market.

The film office is of supraregional importance within the German and European funding landscape, not least through the organization of the short film festival young collection and through the funding of film projects that are also attracting international attention.

Short film festival

With the young collection , a national short film competition was set up in 1997, which, according to the initiators' objectives, is to create a "forum for young films". Every spring, the Filmbüro Bremen awards the Documentary Film Advancement Prize, with which concepts for a documentary film project are awarded. It is endowed with 15,000.

Every year in late summer, the Bremen Video Art Prize is awarded for a concept that is realized with the prize money and exhibited in a renowned Bremen museum or gallery.
