Movie quote

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A film quote can either be understood as a quote from a section of the script or the deliberate reference of a scene in one film to a similar scene in another film.

Movie quote in cinematography

A film quote is understood to mean the use of a camera setting that is as identical as possible and a scene structure as similar as possible to a known film in a new production . Since the picture is only similar to the original film, but not exactly, the film quote does not have to be marked and is not a violation of copyright .

Film quotes are often to be found when there is a relationship between two scenes in terms of content and also establish a formal relationship here. This gives the viewer the feeling of already knowing the scene and serves as a means of increasing tension.

The film Run Lola , for example, contains numerous quotes from the film Twelve PM .

Screenplay movie quote

A film quote is also understood to be a quote from a well-known monologue or dialogue from a film. In the meantime it has become almost a tradition in many online forums to dedicate a thread to guessing movie quotes .
