Fimbria (from Latin fimbria 'fringe' ; plural: fimbria ) stands for

  • Pilus , hair-like appendage of some bacteria
  • Fimbria ovarica , the fringe of the mucous membrane at the transition from the fallopian tube to the ovary
  • Fimbria hippocampi , a strip of nerve tissue that contains nerve fibers leading to and from the hippocampus
