Financial investment specialist (officially certified financial investment specialist IHK ) is a training standard in the German financial services industry .

The qualification as a financial investment specialist is one of the prerequisites for exercising the profession of financial investment broker according to § 34f GewO and the profession of fee-based financial investment advisor according to § 34h GewO.

Legal

With the implementation of the EU Directive 2004/39 / EC on markets for financial instruments (MiFID I and MiFID II) into German law, it is prescribed that financial investment brokers have to prove a suitable expert examination to perform such services in accordance with Section 34f (2) No. 4 GewO.

The financial investment specialist exam is carried out by the local chambers of industry and commerce (IHK). The exam consists of a written and a practical part.
