Financial law is a branch of public law ; It comprises the entirety of legal norms that relate to the state budget , to the finances of local self-government, companies and citizens, and also to money and securities . The function of financial law is to secure a stable and legitimate financial basis for all social and economic (local, state, international) life and thereby promote development and prosperity.

Financial law is divided into: State budget law, financial law of local self-government, law on public-law charges, customs law , currency law, foreign exchange and securities law , tax law (including duties, fees, contributions, taxes).
