Finkenhain (desert)

Finkenhain was a place in the Hintertaunus, southeast of today's Laubach (Taunus) .

In 1100 a place called vinkenhagen is mentioned in a document. 1401 it is mentioned as Fynkenheim, 1405 as Finckenhayn . In 1580 Finkenhain was still referred to as a desert with the words “long expired” .
