Finnish clock museum

The Finnish Watch Museum ( Finnish Suomen kellomuseo ) in Espoo is a museum that specializes in timekeeping and the history of watches . The museum's collection includes thousands of clocks, numerous items related to the work of clockmakers , and utensils from clock shops. The Watch Museum researches and preserves knowledge of the history of watchmaking and records information about watches from Finland and around the world. The museum's mission is to promote knowledge of clocks and watchmaking in Finland.

The museum emerged from the teaching collection of the Finnish Watchmaking School (Suomen Kelloseppäkoulu) founded in 1944. In 1981 the museum was established as a foundation by the Finnish Watchmakers Association and the collection was relocated. Today it is located in the WeeGee-talo building (Weilin + Göös Oy).
