The Fio banka as is a purely Czech bank with Czech owners. It focuses on free standard banking services for small and medium-sized investors. EU citizens do not need to have a place of residence (or postal address) in the Czech Republic in order to open an account. ID and the tax identification number ( TIN ) are sufficient.
Fio banka is a member of the Deposit Protection Fund of the Czech Republic (Fond pojištění vkladů).
