Fitnat Ahrens , b. Kayacık, (born November 6, 1963 in Izmir ) is a German - Turkish author .

Life

Fitnat Ahrens was with Asım Can Gündüz and other artists in 1983 in Turkey co-founder and author of the cabaret Tatlı & Acı (“Sweet & Hot”). She also wrote lyrics for the Istanbul hard rock band KRAMP .

She made her debut as a book author in her native country with the poetry collection Ölümün Dansi (1996). In Germany, Ahrens initially published short stories and fairy tales in regional magazines. With the fantasy novel Destina - In the hidden realm of the Dschinnen , which was published by IATROS Verlag, a book was also published here in 2009.

Ahrens has lived in Germany since the late 1980s.

  • 2008: Literature Prize from Atöf, Hürriyet and Türkshow TV for the short story Kapali Sandik ( The closed box )
  • 2017: 3rd Bubenreuth literary competition
  • 2020: Poet award “Goethe's ice skate” Pfaffenhofen for the short story The Bottle
