Flori - and dreams come true
FLORI - and dreams come true is a musical by the composer Thomas Schwab . It premiered in 1996 in the Mosellandhalle Bernkastel-Kues and was performed regularly in the Trier area until the summer of 1998. The musical was seen by almost 100,000 spectators.

The good forest fairy Santana is the protector of all life. She guards the secrets of life and love, protects nature and gives the world imagination and warmth. Millennia go by.
Soon, however, the evil King Malin reaches for the world. Its cruel servant, the BLACK FEELING, wanders around, stealing feelings and thereby spreading havoc and ruin. More and more people are becoming heartless and cold. They destroy their environment and trample the lives of other people, animals and plants.
Santana feels the world is bad and sends a little boy to the rescue. The boy's name is Flori and he has a big dream: He would love to have a little brother or sister. Santana knows that the power of a dream cannot be compared with any other energy and that Flori can destroy evil with his love and imagination. So the boy sets out to save the world from ultimate emotional death. He asks his friend Richi to come with him. But Richi would rather play with the computer than experience a real adventure. The wise fox Siegbert and the sick trees try in vain to protect Richi from the dangers of numbness. Flori has to move on without his friend, but he is not alone.
The news of his task precedes him. So he meets the fun-loving little mouse Kläuschen, who impresses him with his dancing skills, before the warm-hearted moor cat Ondit Flori protects against the BLACK FEELING that wants to intimidate him. The funny rabbits want to impress Flori because of his job, but are not lucky. The shy deer also accompany him for a while on his way, but not without making it clear that they are a weak people, that it does not deserve to be carelessly killed.
After a while, Flori no longer knows how to continue his journey and begins to cry in despair. His RED FEELING appears, sings for him and gives him new strength. But King Malin has now also learned of Santana's plan and sends the BLACK FEELING to destroy Flori. This sees how strong Flori's FEELING is, puts it in chains and takes it with him. At first Flori is at a loss, but during the night Santana appears to him in a dream and implores him to continue. The search for his RED FEELING leads him directly to King Malin, who is already celebrating himself as the winner.
Flori and his RED FEELING compete in a duel against Malin. Dreams come true: the right words defeat the evil power that threatens the world. Santana Reich is saved, and Flori finally gets his dream fulfilled.

History of origin
When Thomas Schwab had completed his studies at the Conservatoire de Musique , the idea of composing a modern musical fairy tale matured in the summer of 1994. In order to produce his piece, he founded the "Santana Musik Produktion", which still exists today.
The story and songs of Schwab's debut work are shaped by the extensive overexploitation of nature at the time and the dwindling habitat of forest animals due to the numbness of people. Although the piece is referred to as a "musical fairy tale", it actually still contains current references.
"Flori Era": 1996-1998
In 1996 Schwabs Musical premiered in the Mosellandhalle Bernkastel-Kues. Thanks to a growing fan base, the still unknown composer achieved his first regional fame and recognition.
In 1997, the musical was edited with professional help in order to make it successful for a long time, which was worth it: by the end of the year, over 40,000 visitors had seen the musical, not counting the performances in 1996.
This balance enabled the young creative team to start a five-day series of performances in the Rhein-Main-Theater in Niedernhausen after the musical "Sunset Boulevard" by Andrey L. Webber had to close there after 992 performances. A long-term engagement did not materialize, however, as there were changes in management at the theater and the associated hotel.
Comeback 2004
After a six-year break, Thomas Schwab and his team celebrated the comeback of their first work in two performances: On March 27 and March 28, 2004, an elaborate new production was shown in the Trier arena in front of almost 8,000 visitors.
Comeback 2018
On March 16, 2018, the musical experienced another revival, which almost 2500 spectators saw.
