Thomas Schwab (born April 17, 1975 ) is a German musician, composer and music producer .

Life

Thomas Schwab studied at the Conservatoire de Musique in Luxembourg . His first musical was Flori - and dreams become reality , which was performed almost 60 times in Rhineland-Palatinate until 1998 . Various schools and kindergartens have taken up the material from the rock fairy tale and re-enacted it.

In the course of his career, Schwab pursued the idea of ​​“concept concerts” with the Musical Moments and Movie Moments . In December 1998 he produced Christmas Moments , a Christmas show that goes on tour every December in German cities and neighboring countries and which was presented by Südwestrundfunk as SWR1 Christmas Moments for four years . In 2010 Patricia Kelly was a guest on the show's Christmas tour and sang the accompanying single Traum von Bethlehem . In 2011 Thomas Schwab was nominated for the German Engagement Award with Christmas Moments. Christmas Moments was also broadcast as a TV show in various ARD stations and was a guest at the Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights with Florian Silbereisen in 2012 .

By August 2013 Thomas Schwab had written more than 200 songs and released 16 CDs in different musical styles such as heavy metal, jazz, blues, rock, pop, soul, funk and classical. In 2000 he founded the recording company monblau records and opened a music school in 2011. On April 1, 2013, the musical Yakari - Friends for Life , composed by Schwab, was premiered in the Liederhalle in Stuttgart . This was followed by 24 performances in concert halls and halls in Germany and Austria as well as on the natural stage in Elspe .

The band

Most of his band members have accompanied Thomas Schwab for many years. Together they always present new shows and concerts. In 2004 a new edition of the musical Flori followed . A short time later, the Made in Germany project followed - from Knef to Grönemeyer , which, in addition to new arrangements of the classics by Hildegard Knef , Herbert Grönemeyer and Xavier Naidoo, also includes less well-known melodies from German-language music as well as own songs. The band was also a guest at concerts by Laith al Deen , BAP and Stefan Gwildis and performed on World Youth Day 2005 in Cologne.

Thomas Schwab has performed with Patricia Kelly in clubs and concert halls across Europe for several years. Accompanied by Schwab and musicians from the Thomas Schwab Band, Patricia Kelly presented her concert tour Moments in spring 2011 . The Songs and Stories tour followed in 2012 . In May 2012 a concert recording was released on CD and DVD under the title Essential .
