Florin Constantinescu

Florin Constantinescu (* 1938 in Cluj ) is a Romanian mathematician who studies mathematical physics.

Constantinescu studied mathematics and physics at the University of Babes-Bolyai in Cluj from 1954 and also engineering at the Technical University there. After graduating in 1961, he did his doctorate in 1964 at the University of Cluj in mathematical physics. In 1968/69 he was on a Humboldt scholarship at the University of Munich, 1970/71 as an assistant in Munich and Mainz, where he completed his habilitation in 1971. In 1971 he became a professor at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main .
