An escape door terminal is a control unit for securing an emergency exit or escape route . Such a terminal sends feedback to a reporting center when an emergency switch or key is pressed. The connected escape door is released and can be opened. Such systems can often be found in public buildings that require a door to be secured to the outside so that people cannot go uncontrolled through the emergency exit.
