The airfield Minami-Torishima ( Japanese. 南 鳥島 航空 基地 , Minami-Torishima kōkū kichi ) is a Japanese airfield on the uninhabited military island Minami-Torishima , which is also known as Marcus Island . The airfield is operated by the Japanese Marine Self-Defense Forces .
