Fluid management

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under Fluid Management is defined as the set of services for liquid working media. This includes analyzing (monitoring) and conditioning (conditioning) operating media, but also recording and evaluating consumption. The term particularly refers to:

In the case of cooling lubricants, it includes activities such as:

  • check the fill level and refill
  • Empty, clean, rinse the system, make up the coolant and refill the system
  • Analyzing the medium with chemical and physical methods (water content, measuring the concentration with a refractometer , determining the nitrite concentration (e.g. using test strips), pH value or conductance, determining the microbial load by creating cultures, etc.)
  • Restoring the target concentration
  • Maintenance with mechanical means (centrifuges, filtration, skimmers ) and chemical additives (biocides, thickening agents, other additives)
  • Consumption recording and billing
  • other services related to cooling lubricants, such as application advice, creation of documentation (lubrication plans, operating instructions, etc.)
