Folkrörelsen Nej till EU

Folkrörelsen Nej till EU (German: The People's Movement Against the European Union ) is a Swedish organization that tried in the 1990s to prevent Swedish membership of the EU . The organization had 15,000 members in the early 1990s, but 2,000 to 3,000 members in recent years. After Sweden joined the EU, the movement prevented Sweden from joining the EMU in 2003. It is still active. The chairman of the organization in 2016 is Jan-Erik Gustafsson. The organization publishes the journal Kritiska EU-fakta ( Critical EU Facts ). The magazine takes the Swedish EU debate from a critical perspective. Folkrörelsen Nej till EU is a member of the European Alliance of EU-critical Movements .
