Advanced electronic signature

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An advanced electronic signature is an electronic signature that makes it possible to check the authenticity and integrity of the data it has signed. The Regulation (EU) . No 910/2014 (raises Directive 1999/93 / EC) calls for advanced electronic signatures that they are:

  1. are clearly assigned to the signatory,
  2. enable the signatory to be identified,
  3. generated using electronic signature creation data "which the signer can use with a high degree of confidence under his sole control", and
  4. are linked to the data to which they relate in such a way that subsequent changes to the data can be recognized.

This definition was adopted accordingly in the national signature laws of most member states of the European Community and the European Economic Area , in particular in the German Signature Act , the Austrian Signature Act and the Liechtenstein Signature Act .

An advanced electronic signature that is based on a qualified certificate and created with a secure signature creation device (SSEE) is known as a qualified electronic signature .
