Fortunat
Fortunat , actually "Fortunatus" (Latin for "the lucky one" or "the lucky one"), was a nickname in ancient Rome and the name of several Christian martyrs. Two Baden princes also had him as a middle name:
- Eduard Fortunat (Baden-Baden) (1565–1600), Margrave of Baden-Baden
- Hermann Fortunat (1595–1665), Margrave of Baden-Rodemachern
- Fortunat spokesman (1585–1647), lawyer from Graubünden
- Fortunatus von Todi († 537), bishop in Umbria
- Venance Fortunat (around 540–600 / 610), poet and hagiographer, Bishop of Poitiers, see Venantius Fortunatus
